ODD GRAINS SERIES SPELT MALT | STOUT We welcome our friends of Gyrup Malt, a farmhouse maltster located in Thy, Denmark. They focus on heritage and heirloom grains providing flavors long gone. We were dead curious to see how these grains would work out in our stouts, so we did what we do best: Knowing by trying. The second in this series is a Spelt stout. Spelt malt compared to wheat malt provides a slightly sweet more nutty, spicy flavor. We let this malt shine. No adjuncts, no additions, just pure malt, hops, water and yeast.
