Efforts were coordinated with the Association for Retarded Citizens of Washington County. Over the years, monies obtained from these games have enhanced programs which include The Threshold, a sheltered workshop providing day care and vocational rehabilitation, summer recreation, teacher scholarships, and citizen advocacy as well as incentives to- ward independent living, including group homes. Citizens served at The Threshold have increased from four to 200 daily. A full spectrum of develop- mental disabilities is represented among the clients. Industry and businesses throughout the county have provided subcontracts which help support the programs. The Association for Retarded Citizens of Washington County in Wisconsin appreciate the coopera- tion of the Lithia team members and the entire community which continues to make the lives of de- velopmentally disabled persons more productive and satisfying.
